Faucets: The Right One for Your Bathroom
New faucets can give a bathroom a fresh look, but with the wide variety of choices available, it can be difficult to know which to choose. However, a few basic guidelines can help the decision of choosing the right faucet. The first consideration must be the opening configuration in the sink for the faucet. There are four common types that include:
Low Down on Bathroom Faucets
A widespread-set has three separate holes that are at least eight inches apart, and are made to accommodate larger two-handled styles.
Standard Center-set contains three separate holes within four inches made for two-handled faucets, which are plate-mounted.
Single-hole sinks are for single-handed faucets typically with one lever, hands-free, or small two-handed faucets extended from one fixture, often used for smaller bathrooms.
Wall-mounted are often used with vessel or freestanding sinks, and often have longer spouts to extend into the bowl.

Bathroom Plants: 5 Perfect Plants
Adding plants to your bathroom may not only increase its beauty but can contribute to your good health. Bathroom plants help with air purification by absorbing pollutants through their leaves and then metabolizing them into harmless byproducts.
Additionally, research has demonstrated that surrounding ourselves with living, growing interiors decreases stress while providing a more stimulating and interesting environment.
Although you may not believe that you have a green thumb, choosing the right plant for this location can make all the difference for success. A bathroom's typical conditions of low light, high humidity, and warm temperatures must be taken into consideration.
Frosted or small windows reduce light, and some interior rooms have no windows at all. Even though some bathroom plants require very little light, all plants require some light.

Written by: Alena Capra
The black & white bath is timeless…although it’s heavily trending right now, I feel like it’s a classic look. As a designer, over the past year or so, I have been getting this request from clients for their bathroom remodels. There is something so dramatic about the look of the all black and white room. It’s a color palette that really works in all design styles, from classic traditional, and transitional, to modern.

Although they can chip or crack if a heavy object is dropped on them, they're durable and easy to clean. Additionally, they resist mildew, discoloration, and corrosion. DECOLAV offers a wide variety and style of vitreous china sinks in its Classically Redefined Collection. Continue reading
